When did I get here and how long has it been?

I’m coming to the end of my second weekend in Bangladesh and even though I can count exactly how many days I have been here, the time feels like a vacuum– I’m not sure if I just got here or if I’ve been here for ages! I’ve just surpassed the longest time that I’ve been out of the country, which may explain why the first ten days or so were a little disappointing. Any other time when traveling, I always have a place to be and a time to be there; I can usually count on two hands the number of days I have to explore and see all the important things that place has to offer! There’s no downtime, and even if I’m exhausted I can never justify taking a nap. I still have guilt over staying back from dinner on my last day in Spain two years ago…
